Divorce Source has a good many resources on divorce in Wisconsin, including Divorce, Child Custody, Visitation, and Child Support. If you don't need a lawyer and just want to file a simple divorce, you can order the forms and do it yourself, or you can get DocuPro to do it for you. DivorceNet has a nice collection of divorce resources for Wisconsin, including divorce, property division, and alimony. Here's a compendium of resources on Wisconsin Divorce Law from the Johnson Law Firm in Berlin, including Commencing a Divorce, Restraining Orders, The Temporary Hearing, Custody, Child Support, Maintenance, and Property Settlement. It's shamelessly gladiator-ish, but that's probably to be expected. Ernesto Romero in Milwaukee has free, downloadable divorce forms with instructions. It's a nice service for a simple divorce. There's a group of parents based in Madison who are working to promote and enable shared custody, called S.P.R.I.G. (for Shared Parental Responsibility Interest Group). Divorce-Forms.com has several Wisconsin divorce laws and forms available. It was still under construction when I visited it but may be finished by now. |
