Showing Your Video
When you and your editor have finished working on your piece, your editor will export your finished video program to your DV tape so it's ready to show. All you need is to take your DV camera with the finished program on it, hook it up to the TV or projector you're using with the cable that comes with the camera, and press the play button. Because everything gets done digitally, there's no loss of quality in the editing or exporting process.
There's no need to make a DVD of your video. Your talent, your mother, and everyone else who hears about your video will likely ask for a DVD. Unfortunately, DVDs are time-consuming to burn and largely unnecessary. You're welcome to burn them for your friends if you have the equipment, but we won't do it at the church.
We will format your program as an MPEG4 file and upload it to Google Video. Then everyone who wants to view it can go there at their leisure and view your video as often as they want and on their own schedule.
