Current divorce decree states that all medical and school expenses are to be split 50/50.

I filed a petition last year for my son to go to private school and to modify custody. Final hearing was this past month. I won on school, but lost my motion to modify custody.

Since I filed the original petition, I have incurred 2 expenses. One was $300 for a tuition deposit for the school for next year and also $275 in co-pays to a counselor for my son.

According to the current decree, ex should be reimbursing me for half these expenses and is refusing to do so because he is mad that I sued him.

What can I do to enforce the papers and have him give me a check for his half? I already had my attorney from the case send his attorney a letter requesting the money 3 weeks ago and they have not responded.

If he's gonna play hardball, then you'll have to play hardball.  You can haul him back into court (but that is gonna cost time + money).  He and his attorney know this so they are sitting on their laurels.  You are in a sticky spot here, if you go back to court it's gonna cost you at least however much 1/2 of those bills are.  You may be better off to wait until you have a small stack of bills to present.  Also, are you sending his copies of the bills via your attorney AND to him personally via the USPS with return receipt requested?  It holds a lot of weight in court if you can present a stack of those little green cards showing how you went to the post office and mailed him notice of the bills and he simply ignored them.

Good luck!   Undecided

If I were in your shoes, I would create an excel worksheet listing each bill, what his portion is, how much he has paid.  And send him a copy of this spreadsheet with a copy of the attached bills.  And send it certified.  And keep sending it certified.

And then file contempt of court charges and ask the courts to enforce the order.  You would also ask for him to pay for your legal fees related to this action since he is the one failing to comply with a court order, you just may get it.
