I did - used a book called "Divorce made easy" fact that is how I found HEO
I did have an attorney llok it over - had to fire her when she was insisting we do child support and alimony and all that crap - we had three kids and two business and the home - all went very well - I think the court cost me about $175.00 and the attorney was probably $250 and I got a partial refund from the court -
I did go up to our court and ask to see what kind of information they could give - some have packets they hand out - some have classes to attend - so look into what your area has to offer and best of luck - not a bad idea to have it looked over by an attorney - just to be safe.

I also did a "Do it yourself Divorce" and it was a bit easier than you might think. The real hard part is both husband and wife being committed to doing it this way. You have to really reach deep down and find that trust you had in marriage and extend it into the divorce. If there are kids you have to be committed to sacraficing things for their sake. It's only stuff. If your both committed and can stay away from the hurt feelings taking over then you may have a chance at making the "Do it yourself" part work. I don't know about where you live, but in California most counties have a public assistance person that can help you practically with the whole thing. You have to know what you want ahead of time, but they will help you fill out all the forms and get it done. I hope that helps.
