Recently I received a phone call from my wife that she is getting a divorce from her second husband of 12 years and in the same breath told me to expect my child support to go up. I sold my house three weeks ago and was able to make some money which I plan on using for my next home. My question is, does this money go into figuring out what I should pay for child support or will they rely on my paycheck? Hope you can help. I live in Texas. Thank you .

I seriously doubt it (I am not a lawyer).  But if you are in arrears, it can be used to get you caught up.
