I know about  pre nups put what about post nups? Is there such a thing?  I want to protect my business from his ex-wife and start living defensively.

Yes. Most states alllow and enforce postnuptial agreements. As prenups do, they often require to be enforceable that both parties have representation at the time the postnup is negotiated and signed, and they often require that both parties fully disclose to each other all their assets and liabilities. If those formalities are observed, they're generally enforceable. There may be a state or two where a postnup is not enforceable for some reason, but I don't know of any.
