I hate a thief. My stepson lives in a very nice neighborhood....stopped home for lunch last week. Left the garage door open long enough to eat...his golf clubs were gone when he got done eating. Some POS had taken them with him in the house.

Another break-in??
Oh, Sluggo, I am so sorry!
Can we send you a steel-reinforced door? Preferably one that has a few dozen security features? I know livealittle's kids (The War Children) can show you how to set a booby trap to catch those bums...

This is so common....I think sometimes you just think your neighborhood is "safe" I'm one of those "lucky" idiots. We were gone for 3 weeks. During that time we had a major storm and our front door blew open...how long it was open I have no idea..but good neighbors came over, sopped up the water from the rain and closed the door. That puts your faith back in humanity. Sluggo...sorry again.

Thanks for the suggestion, John. I'm a project mgr for a construction company, so I can get what I need to do the work, but I'm pretty attached to MY personal tools, and have a lot of money invested in them...basically, all I kept in the divorce, so it's more an isue of being violated than not having what I need to do the work. When you don't have much, and jerkoffs keep stealing it.....it tends to get a little depressing. Do they rent guns ? Or Claymores ?

Hey sluggo, Sorry to hear what happened. I've been robbed a couple times and you are right it's not the stuff i's the feeling of helplessness. You can't kick the shit out of someone you can't find. With any luck they will rob the wrong person soon and pay dearly for it. Your sorry to hear about this friend, Mike

My sentiments Exactly ! And they better hope I don't.... Talked to my Milwaulkee dealer today, he said he would sell me his 12" demo unit for the same price my 10 " Makita cost.....so, maybe I'll get to upgrade.... ...bigger is always better ! And, I've finally got some easy sidejobs coming in, so...if I work my ass off, maybe I can replace what I already worked my ass off to buy in the first place.....

Sorry to hear about your misfortune sluggo ... that really sucks I'm guessing that your thief is also a construction worker who knows the value of tools. Might want to check ebay or craigs list just to see if your stuff if being offered for sale? Thievery has also increased around here ... last summer people were stealing irrigation piping from the farm fields and taking it in for recycling money. Construction job site theft was also on the rise as people were stealing copper wiring and plumbing just for the recycle value.
