Speaking for men in general, we are visual creatures. We are stimulated (and I am not just talking sex) visually. I think that's the reason more guys like watching sports than gals. I think most gals are stimulated on a more emotional level. Speaking for myself, I find certain underwear sexier than other underwear. It does not make or break a relationship for me, but I am looking for a gal with a girlie girl side, and somewhat sexy underwear is one of the things I would like to see her wear.

Everyone here may disagree with me, and I may be a heal, but that is my opinion.

When I'm happy with how I look (from top to bottom, from lingerie to outer wear) it adds to my general happiness and confidence...call me shallow. No matter what I'm wearing - a suit, jeans, dressed for black tie event, pyjamas to grubbies out in the garden I like to think I look my best in the context of the situation.

And yeah I'm a woman but I agree men are visually stimulated and if it makes my partner happy when I wear what he likes then it makes me happy. No different than anything else you'd do for someone you care about. Happy coincidence that I like nice lingerie for myself too.
 
Having said that if a guy walked out just because of what I was wearing or not wearing - clearly not the right guy for me so better to find that out.

It's all just personal preference - no right or wrong IMO.

And boobs are just another anotomical part of the female body designed to feed newbornes...and yet to all guys they are something special. Some things just aren't driven by logic.

I understand the visual thing. If a night of romance or a big date or something like that is on the ticket for an evening, I can see going all out with the sexier undergarments. Or, planning on the lingerie/sexy nightie after a quick trip to a private room where no "underware" will be seen anyway. I also understand wearing something to make your partner happy...heck, I tried that on many occasions.

I guess I'm just looking on an everyday/run of the mill day. I *feel* just fine commando or with a comfortable pair of cotton underware. It doesn't make me feel any more/any less sexy to be wearing them...they are just clothes to me. I do know I would be uncomfortable and would certainly not *feel* sexy with a thong on.

As for breasts...that is kind of a different thing altogether. Part of your partners body, in a good relationship, is something to be treasured. Just like the underware topic, though...would the breasts be "less special" if they had a plain white bra on?

So I am at the movies watching a chick flick (why? because a girlfriend would want me to go). As always, there is a pretty gal who appears in her bra and panties. Yes, what luck! she is wearing what every guy dreams of....a white bra that lifts and separates and granny underwear up to her waist!

Find me a movie that has that. You wont find it because even movie producers know what guys like. AB, you can dismiss it or feel it shouldn't matter. It obviously doesn't matter to some guys. But if you were to take a poll, and if all the guys were truly honest, I bet most of them would like to see their girlfriend or wife in something sexy on a regular basis rather than something comfortable. Hell, I would be content with a gal wearing white bikinis every day. There is a lot to packaging, at least for some of us.

Those "chick flicks" are oftentimes a single guy, a single gal, dating constantly because they have all the free time in the world, not very many responsibilities (outside of a job), etc. After the "honeymoon", that isn't the reality of family life.

Bet if there was a sex scene in "Cheaper by the Dozen", that mom would be in comfortable clothing from the inside out...not something out of the Victoria's Secret catalog. (Strike that...they do have some comfortable things in there...but you get my meaning.)

I'm not saying that sexy underware does not have its place, as it obviously does. It isn't for everyday, though...

I guess I don't know what the mother of "Cheaper by the Dozen" wore under her clothes. I guess it might be as varied as some of the women have expressed here. Based on what some of the gals here have said there is a 50/50 chance she might be wearing something from Victorias Secret.

From this thread I would conclude that some gals prefer to wear sexier things, some don't. Neither is right, neither is wrong. Unlike you I wouldn't speak for every woman by saying:

Me personally I love all kinds of "panties" lol...I do try to stay away from the ones that crawl up my butt........But I think underware in general, is more about how the woman feels in the underware, for daily purposes.  I like to dress up/under for myself.  to be honest do I feel sexier with granny panties, or fancy panties........I feel sexier with fancy panties.............as for boobies.........well we all know where I fit in that catagory. lol

So I guess the lesson here is to where what ever you feel like wearing......if sexy underware makes you feel good........go for it.  If plain cotton underware does the job, so be it.......I have cotton panties that are sexy.  It's the person, and how they feel.

ok, my preference for everyday is matching thongs and bras. I have nearly every color of the rainbow to co-ordinate with my clothes. I started wearing them in high school when I started buying all my own clothes.

As far as what's comfortable or for everyday, this is for me. Because of my figure, EVERY other style crawls horribly and is very uncomfortable. Believe me, I've tried them all. I do wear what is comfortable for me. 

Odyssey came and took care of me for a week after my surgery, she did our laundry - she asked me if I only had headbands .

The ladies at hockey used to make comments about my underwear. Now they are just used to me.


so, what is comfortable for one may not be for another.
