Good to see you. How are things going?

Things are going very well. I had the opportunity to go back to school full time, so I left my job in July and have been taking classes. Getting used to not working has been a challenge, but it's been good. My son is wonderful and life in general is a lot better than when I was last on here. I have been making friends, which is a lot easier since the X moved cross country from me. I haven't started dating yet, but the opportunities haven't presented themselves yet.

All around, life is good!!

HEO has a great archive!! I just found my first post about 3.5 years ago. I was in a bad spot and this bunch of people really helped me out. My husband had just left, within 3 months, my brother-in-law passed away, and 6 weeks later, my sister-in-law and nephew were in a horrible accident. I didn't know if I was coming or going. But these guys helped hold me together. Since then, my sister has remarried to another wonderful man (how come she gets 2 and I don't get any???  ) And my sister-in-law they said would never walk again is walking with a cane and just had her 4th child!! My nephew is completely healed and playing ball again. I had to sell my home, but there was a back up plan in place and we have weathered the move. I left a job I had worked my butt off for 8 years at, but God has provided for that for us too. I'm in the psych program and headed straight for grad school to pursue my license. I'm enjoying rich friendships and my son and I are the happiest and healthiest we have ever been. We don't have much more than we had before, but we have  learned to better appreciate it.

Thank you HEO for helping me get there. I hope that I can repay the favor.

wow another blast from the past.  So glad you are doing well, and are happy.  It goes to show you that out of bad, one can grow and be what they wanna be.  Check in more often if you can.

Honestly, the good result is a combination of some really good (and sometimes stern) advice from the dedicated folks at HEO and being determined to have the best life God has planned for me, even through all the pain I have experienced. Once I was stable enough, I had to leave HEO for a while, but I'm back hopefully to repay the favor. I'm not 100% all the way there, but I happy to be where I am at.
