and used it yesterday to process a bunch of tomatoes. what a nifty little gadget! took tons of time and energy off from the process of processing tomatoes to can. Holy smokes what a great product!

here's a link to what one looks like.

super easy to use and really fast compared to hand processing with pots of boiling water and ice water

That's a pretty nifty gadget! I'm liking it.

My only concern (and I'm not sure it should be one, since you wouldn't actually be cooking the tomatoes IN it) is that it's made of aluminum - tomatoes tend to leech aluminum more easily than other foods. Just something to maybe look into...

only the hopper and chute are made of aluminum, the screen and auger are made of steel. the raw tomatoes were only in it for less than 2 hours, we cleaned it really well after using it and it sure did seem to come clean pretty easy.

We feel like it's paid for itself with just the first batch of tomatoes this week. Smiley

ok, so here are the tomatoes as they ripen...

here they are after harvesting. I put a spoon on the counter so you can get an idea of size. We had enough to cover this counter, another counter twice that big and our table which seats 6 in it's current configuration.

Here's the Squeezo Strainer in use

We love this gadget! It made the work go so fast. We got about 1 and 1/2 of those coffee cans of waste and that was it. That big green pot is HUGE! We put up 3 quarts and 1 pint from this batch
