The best thing about being single is you can be whoever you want to be.  You can feel what ever you want to feel.  Nothing is holding you/me back.  I am still continueing to look for more meaning in life, and to get in the best shape that I have ever been.  It's much easier to do then having someone else bring you down.

Cold, lonely nights come to mind pretty quick.

Wouldn't know. Not with three dogs and four cats. All of whom are quite happy to keep a bed warm.  Wink

What I like about being single now is ..  the 'possibilities' of what, not being a married single person, will present down the road  Wink.  I've had the much dreaded 'T I M E'  to decipher who I am from who I was and the excitement blended in without the paralyzing fear of who I might become.  Cause its just me I gotta please and truly look in the mirror's reflection of my mind and 'like'  Grin.  So if I don't like me, I can change me according to 'my' needs and desires.

Feeling comfortable in my own home.

Hearing genuine silence, rather than "the silent treatment".

wolfy, i WISH i could have a cold, lonely night. i've been hot for 5 years, ever since my hysterectomy. and my 13 year old daughter frequently crawls in my bed in the middle of the night, and promptly steals all the covers (although that does help with the hot issue)... Cheesy

Well think of all the energy you can save during the winter months. If you ever decide to date again, I'm willing to bet you will feel "cold and lonely" in a different way.

I can rock Bo Diddley as loud as I friggen want, with nobody rolling their eyes at me.

I can watch Sports Center without someone trying to vacuum the floor right in front of the TV....over and over again...just to piss me off...

I can be as silly with my boys as I want to be, because we are buds..

If I want to work until 8:00 at night, nobody cares but the dogs....I give 'em extra cookies when i'm late... Wink

I genuinely smile and laugh . . . it has been over twenty-five years and feels great.
