Preexisting child support and his soon to be ex's support

Thanks . . . I just talked to him and he's meeting with a lawyer ASAP (they are phone communicating right now as he's in Louisiana headed in)

It will be five years December 3rd, but they separated last December, so I'm not sure how that figures in.  They have been scheduled three times for the divorce hearing, and she's postponed all three times for stupid reasons.  I'm wondering if she's trying to draw it out to the five year mark . . .

Anyway, thanks for the help.  Since he left her in December, we've worked hard on getting back to being friends for our son's sake; yes, I want the support because our son deserves it, but I no longer feel angry and vindictive toward him.  One of us grew up!

File an income withholding order.  The child support will be taken directly out of his check.  The deal with his ex is not your battle & you should let him handle it.  Your concern is protecting your child.
