I think she was still hungover from the night before. Huh.... maybe we all were.....

I think I'm the only one who wasn't..I worked the day before and got up early to meet with everyone before they left.

And so.... we may as well start Porch Night.

Over the past ~10 years, Nina and I butted heads more often than not. Where she said black, I likely said white. If I said the sky was blue? She'd likely tell me it wasn't. Name a topic, we pretty well didn't agree. I'm sure I drove her to distraction. I know she could drive me crazy on any number of levels.

But there was one place that I think we did come together - even if we may not have ever voiced it. Both of us love our children more than ourselves. If there is one gift that Nina leaves behind, it is the knowledge that B will have that his mother loves him greatly. And that is a tremendous gift to receive.

If there were one thing I could say to Nina, it's this. When it comes to the end, you will have Janet, Sailor and Patty waiting for you with open arms. I know you got on well with Janet and Sailor, and also that you and Patty had a few go-rounds. But all you need to do is tell her that you didn't like me any better than she did. And the two of you will get on fine.

Godspeed, and God bless. You're certainly someone I will not easily forget.

Just spoke with her sister and brother in law.  She has been move to the hospice facility.  She's in no pain and not coherent at all.

Her son was down for Easter but Ash didn't want to see him.  He never saw her.

They are taking this really really badly of course.

He asked that we pray for her and them.  They are going to keep in touch with me and I with them.

The doctors gave her less than five days.
