Attorney fees

Hello, Im working on my divorce settlement and have a few questions. First can I use my spouses settlement agreement as my format in answer to the settlement I send back to him with a few changes? Because he has been non compliant with sending information requested by my lawyer which in turn increased my attorney fees to get the info is it unreasonable to ask for him to pay some of my attorney fees? My attorney informed me that my spouse has much more debt than I so it would not be worth it for me to pursue going for any part of his retirement, his retirement/pension is $14,000 mine is arouond $9,800. has anyone else delt with this?

I'm no attorney, but I see no problem with you using the same format your stbx used. When it comes to actually filing something with your attorney, the office paralegal should make sure it is in the right/acceptable format for the local courts.
As for your asking for reimbursement of attorney fees...you can ask, but it is very rare that the courts award it.
As for the retirement.....you are talking a couple thousand dollars....more than likely money you wouldn't see until he retired if awarde...is it really worth a pissing contest through the courts? You are the only one that can answer that......but I'm not sure it would be worth the hassle to me.
