Each month my husband gets a check from his employer for his car allowance and fuel expenses. Is this considered income when calculating child support? Our lawyer says no. She says that it is a reimbursement, because it is not taxed. (only social security and medicare is deducted.) But the other lawyer is saying yes since it is figured in the total yearly income. Please help. Thanks.

I'm not an attorney, so hopefully someone with a little better knowledge can provide a more definative answer, but I believe that you will find the court will view this as income.

In most states, if it makes it on to the W-2, it's income for child support too. Your state may be different, but that's the usual approach.
