Divorce after Chapter 13 Bankruptcy

I was just wanting some information on filing for divorce after my husband and I filed a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy.   We filed in April 2007 and it was confirmed in July 2007.   He pays 1/2 and I pay 1/2.    We have been seperated for quite awhile and have decided to go ahead and divorce.   We are agreeing on just about everything, there are no minor children.   How will a divorce effect the bankruptcy?   What if we need to re-file the bankruptcy after the divorce is final?  Is that even possible?

It sounds like you have done a Chapter 13 rather than a Chapter 7, meaning you are required to pay some money each month. I don't know that the divorce will have any impact on your bankruptcy, but the attorney who filed your bankruptcy will know for sure.
