My husband was a hardcord alcoholic living in a shelter for alcholics when I divorced him. He had no money. I was (and am lliving with my mother). When he was a functional alcoholic he was making 6 figures plus bonuses and stock options.  We had to declare bankruptcy because of his lost of jobs and 6 rehabs in 5 years.  Now 2 years later, he has recovered, has a job and is living 1/2 mile from the beach. My teaching degree is worthless because I stayed home to raise the kids. I have chronic migraines, so I can only work part-time and cannot get health insurance. I also have gone into debt supporting our son in college. Is there any way I can get alimony now that his circumstances have changed? My future is bleak and his is bright which isn't fair-but who says life is fair?

It depends on the language in your decree. If it says you waive alimony past, present and future (as many decrees do), it means what it says. If it says alimony is reserved, you may have an argument.
