Ex dragging feet
«

My ex signed over the house to me when we split. I was required to pay nothing to him in the agreement.
Now, six months later - a whole heck of a lot of foot dragging in order for me to get the deed in my name...I got a letter from his lawyer stating that my ex is seeking one-third the value of the home.
Can he do this!?!?

To my knowledge, no. Division of the equity in the marital home is an aspect of property division, which, absent fraud, was final 30 days after the divorce decree became effective.

Lee;
Thank you for replying to me. I spoke about this with my lwayer and I am confident that it is being taking care of. I am sure I will have more questions as time goes by.
Thank you again.
