Chap 13 issues

I live and was divorced in the state of Illinois...(Madison County)..My ex is 35, he has never worked and currently draws disability, SSI, public aid, welfare...I was always the worker "bee" of the two...After 10 plus years of marriage we accumulated debt..We both filed chapter 13..BOTH OF OUR NAMES ARE ON THE PAPERWORK..Since I was the working person a certain amount was withdrawn from the pay check each month..Never once did he offer to assist me......I paid $ 500 plus a month for almost three years.....Last month due to medical reason I was terminated from my job....I'm now work PT...Since I paid on the chapt 13, they adjusted to a lower amount $ 400.00 a month..HOWEVER THEY WANT THEIR MONEY.....PLAIN AND SIMPLE.
I spoke to my ex and he refuses to entertain a 50/50 split....He's even re-married and she elects to stay at home rather then seek employment....But that's a different issue....
My question is, can I pay my part $ 200.00 a month and inform them my ex can take care of the other half; Or will this issue go in front of a judge ?
Thanks

Actually, your creditors don't care. You're both liable - separately and together. SO you can pay the 200, but you're still responsible for the full amount. As is he.
