763 - How Can I Gather the Information I Need?First, let me point out the obvious: you're already using one really good way to gather the information you need. There's about two hours of information here on the Divorce Line, all tailored for Birmingham and totally free of charge. You're welcome to wander around here and explore at your leisure without ever having to talk to me or pay me any money. There's a separate message on how to make the best use of the Divorce Line. What's here on Divorce Line is just a tiny fraction, though, of the comprehensive web site for dealing with divorce, Divorceinfo.com. Divorceinfo.com is huge, the equivalent of a 2,000 page book, and it too is totally free of charge. If you'd like to check out Divorceinfo.com, and you don't have Internet access, you can go to any branch of the Birmingham Public Library, where they can get you online free of charge. Beyond Divorce Line and Divorceinfo.com, there are some really good books on divorce. Go to the downtown branch of the library and take the escalator to the third floor and the Social Sciences section. Look for Dewey Decimal Number 306.89, and you'll find several helpful books on divorce available for you to check out and read. Alabama Family Law Center serves clients who need to get through divorce and who are able to be reasonably cooperative. The goal is for both spouses to survive divorce and move on with their lives with some money in their pockets and their dignity intact. No representation is made that the quality of the legal services to be performed is greater than the quality of legal services performed by other lawyers. If you'd like to make an appointment with me, call 205-979-6960. Or you can click here to return to the Divorce Line. |
