Divorce Services
Having a religious service to commemorate your divorce is an intensely personal decision. For some of us, asking God to bless us in the midst of divorce is as natural as breathing. For others, it's awkward, but we resolve to do it because we long for closure. For others, the idea of bringing divorce into God's house is repulsive, unthinkable. I don't propose to try to persuade you to any single point of view. My purpose here is simply to share with you some of the approaches others have taken; you can decide for yourself whether to use one of these services, to develop your own service, or to avoid the entire issue. | |||||
