Alabama Stat Form

Every divorce filing must be accompanied by a "Certificate of Divorce" that contains key information about the husband and the wife, as well as some simple information about the children. Everybody calls it the "Stat Form," but it actually bears the legal title "Certificate of Divorce."

It's not the same thing as the divorce decree, sometimes called the Final Judgment of Divorce. The divorce decree is a prose document, dated and signed by the judge, with a nice pretty gold seal on it.
